No I have not conceded that the Earth is warming long term, due to man. Nor do I conceded that man can cause the Earth to warm, cool and fart.

The Earth warms and cools in cycles, this is a proven fact. I want see some proof that man has the power to overwhelm the cyclical nature of the Earths Environment.


Come on where is the proof.

A Delayed Response for Our Thousands of Fans

Hello everyone (that would be you, David; I doubt anyone else is reading this).

David the Truthful has set the challenge: Is Global Warming caused my human activity? He must have already conceded the point that the climate is indeed warming, else this second argument would be pointless. That's a good start.

Now my task remains to show that we can indeed influence climate. I must be able to demonstrate that before I can demonstrate that human activity is causing (or influencing) global warming. I find it hard to believe that someone would say we couldn't change the climate. We can poison and dry up rivers, destroy wetlands, level forests, poison the soil, and level mountain tops. Given all this, it isn't unreasonable to conclude we could impact climate, too. Heck, we manage to destroy everything else, why not the climate as well?

Sorry, David, this isn't a good post. But it does set the stage for future debate.

The height of Hubris

How do I put this repectfully....hmmm what a load of crap. A pot head is still a pot head even with a hair cut. Al Gore is still an idiot regardless of the Nobel Prize.

But to the point my most worthy opponent raised, Rob the self masturbating. We are first and foremost debating if man has caused the temperature of the plant to increase. For one it is the height of hubris to think the we, mankind can influence the climate of the planet, and secondly there in no real evidence that what little warming we have seen is not part of the natural cycle of the planet.

I know that you are thinking "But David, will you be spending some of your god like talent disparaging Al Gore?" Well I could never let my fans down, so yes I will spend a lot of time exposing Al for the hypocrite that his is. Also I think that it does not matter that he is gay, that is not part of the debate, but it's damn funny.

Shaggy-Haired Pot Smoking Liberals and Other Amazing Things

I have to admit, David's previous post below hits the nail on the head. It's been well known amongst those in the environmental movement that the shaggy-haired pot-smoking liberals were a big problem. They smell bad. You can't take them anywhere without them whining about something. You can't bitch-slap them, at least not publicly. These people are a publicity nightmare! We in the environmental movement knew something had to be done, and something we did!

We made them all wash their hair and get it cut. They all now look like Al Gore. That's looking quite respectable!

And now that we all look (and smell) respectable again, we can, once more, present our respectable argument that the Earth's respectable climate is indeed getting warmer. And we won't go underground, which, by the way, is quite un-respectable. And we don't necessarily smoke pot, which is respectable or un-respectable depending on your own respective point of view.

But before we continue, I must ask my respectable colleague one important question: are we debating whether the Earth's climate is warming or not, whether man-made causes are contributing to the climate warming if it indeed is warming, or both? Let me know the ground upon which we'll battle!

And speaking of respectable, why don't I get to choose my own self-deriding nickname? Rob the Selfrighteous? David the Truthful? Give me a break!

As for ecoAmerica, I'll let them make their own arguments; I'll present my own respectable viewpoints in this very respectable blog instead, openly, for all to read.

I have already won the debate! I declare victory! Yes the problem with GW is shaggy-haired pot smoking liberals, and they know it! I guess the new game plan is not to present facts to support GW (Like there are any /rolleyes)but to simply change the name and try to brand the lies like you would a new shampoo. The word that best describes GW is sham! I guess with the new name change the GW debate is going into the witness protection program. Hiding from the truth.
